HMAS Sydney
Four ships of the Royal Australian Navy have been named HMAS Sydney after Sydney, the capital city of New South Wales.
- The first Sydney was a Town class light cruiser launched 29 August 1912.
- The second Sydney was a modified Leander class light cruiser launched 22 September 1934.
- The third Sydney (R93) was a Majestic class light aircraft carrier launched 30 September 1944 as HMS Terrible and commissioned 16 December 1948 as HMAS Sydney
- The fourth Sydney (FFG03) is an Adelaide (Oliver Hazard Perry) class frigate launched 26 September 1980
