Four ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Dauntless:

• The first Dauntless was an 18-gun sloop launched at Hull, England in November 1804. In 1807 she ran aground during a battle in the Vistula River and was forced to surrender to the French.
• The second Dauntless , launched in 1808 at Deptford, England , was a 26-gun sloop stationed at Cork, Newfoundland Station and East Indies Station . She was sold for breaking in 1825.
• In 1847 a 31-gun frigate named Dauntless was launched at Portsmouth, England. This Dauntless saw action during the Crimean War and won battle honors in the Black Sea. The frigate was sold for breaking in 1885.
• On 10 April 1918 the Danae-class light cruiser Dauntless was launched. The cruiser won battle honors in 1939 while serving in the China Station and in 1941 transported £s;3,000,000 in bullion from Simonstown, Columbo to the United Kingdom. In 1942 the cruiser was involved in operations against the Vichy French Navy off Diego Suarez and Madagascar. In 1945 the cruiser started three years as a training vessel at Chatham, England before being sold for breaking in 1947.
• In 2007, the Daring-class destroyer HMS Dauntless is expected to be launched from Vosper Thornycroft Shipbuilders , England.
