HMS Guardian
Three ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Guardian:
- The first Guardian, launched in 1784, was a 44-gun frigate, converted to a transport ship. In 1789, while transporting convicts to Australia, she was wrecked on an iceberg in the Southern Ocean.
- The second Guardian, launched in 1932, was a net-laying and photographic ship. She served in World War II and was scrapped in 1962.
- The third Guardian was originally Seaforth Champion, purchased in 1982 to act as a support ship during the Falklands War, and sold in 1987.
