HMS Portland
The name HMS Portland has been carried by eight ships of the Royal Navy. They were named after the Earl of Portland.
- The first HMS Portland of 1653
- The second HMS Portland of 1693
- The third HMS Portland of 1744
- The fourth HMS Portland of 1770
- The fifth HMS Portland of 1795 was a barge probably used to defend Plymouth and decommissioned in 1802
- The sixth HMS Portland of 1822
- The seventh HMS Portland was a Bangor class minesweeper was captured by the Japanese whilst under construction in Hong Kong in 1941 and became Japanese minesweeper M/S 101 , and was sunk by the Americans in 1945.
