Nine ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Warspite:

• The first Warspite (or Warspight), launched in 1596, was a 29-gun galleon, sold in 1649.
• The second Warspite, launched in 1666, was a 70-gun third-rate ship of the line, renamed Edinburgh in 1716, rebuilt twice and broken up in 1771.
• The third Warspite, launched in 1758, was a 74-gun third-rate, renamed Arundel in 1800 and broken up in 1801.
• The fourth Warspite, launched in 1807, was a 76-gun third-rate, burned in 1876.
• The fifth Warspite was originally Waterloo , a 120-gun first-rate launched in 1833, renamed in 1876 and burned in 1918.
• The sixth Warspite, launched in 1884, was an Imperieuse-class first-class armoured cruiser, scrapped between 1904 and 1906.
• The seventh Warspite was originally Hermione , an Astraea-class protected cruiser launched in 1893, renamed in 1922, and broken up in 1940.
• The eighth Warspite, launched in 1913, was a Queen Elizabeth-class battleship. She took part in the battle of Jutland in the First World War and many battles in the Second World War. She ran aground on her way to be broken up in 1947 and was scrapped in 1950.
• The ninth Warspite, launched in 1965, is the third of Britain's nuclear-powered submarines, the second (and last) of the Valiant class.
