Haab is the 365-day calendar of the Maya civilization. It is composed of nineteen months. Eighteen of these months are 20 days long, the last contains only five days, which are purported to be unlucky.

The month names are

Pop, Uo, Zip, Zotz, Tzec, Xul, Yaxkin, Mol, Chen, Yax, Sac, Ceh, Mac, Kankin, Muan, Pax, Kayab, Cumhu, Uayeb.

The days of a month started with a glyph translated as the "seating of" that month followed by days numbered 1, 2, ..., 19 for the first eighteen months. Consequently, the 'seating' day is usually regarded as day 0 of the named month. However, some regard the 'seating' day to be last day, day 20, of the month preceding the month actually named. Thus, most number the days of Uayeb from 0 to 4, although some argue that they should be numbered from 1 to 5.
