Hamilton East
Hamilton East is both a federal and provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada.

History
The riding was an electoral district in Canada from 1903 to 2003 consisting of the eastern part of Hamilton, Ontario. In provincial politics it has been a seat in the Ontario legislature in 1894. It is considered a working class district. There is also a Hamilton East riding for election to the Ontario legislature. This riding elected the first Co-operative Commonwealth Federation MPP to Queen's Park, Samuel Lawrence in the 1934 Ontario election. It is currently represented provincially by Andrea Horwath of the Ontario New Democratic Party.
