Hayedeh

Hayedeh born 1941, died 20th January 1990, famous Persian [Iranian] alto singer, produced over 25 albums.

Her career began as a singer on radio programmes , e.g. Golhayeh Rangarang She studied Avaz (Persian vocal music) with the great Persian violinist and composer Ali Tajvidi . "Azadeh" was the first song of Hayedeh (music by A. Tajvidi, lyrics by Rahi Moayeri) that performed in Radio Tehran with Golha Orchestra in 1968.

Shortly before the Iranian Revolution in 1978, she emigrated to the UK and then in 1982 to the U.S. to continue her career. She lived in Los Angeles near her sister, Mahasti , also a well known Persian singer. She died after a concert in Casablanca Club in San Jose California.

In 1980s that many Persians forced to escape from Persia, Hayedeh because of her nostalgic songs (esp. "Rouzaa-ye Roshan Khodaahaafez"[Bye Light Days..], "Faryad" [Cry], "Zendegi" [Life], etc.) became very popular and loved in the Persian community.

Nearly all songs of Hayedeh released by Taraneh Records, Pars Video and Caltex Records, three California-based Persian music company.

Most of her more famous songs were composed by Ali Tajvidi , Farid Zoland , Anoushiravan Rohani , Sadegh Nojuki , Andranik and Mohammad Heydari . Lirycict were Esmaeel Navabe Safa , Bijan Taraghi , Leila Kasra )aka Hadieh) , Homa Mir-Afshar , Ardalan Sarfaraz .
