Heavy Goods Vehicle
Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) is a generic and formal designation in British English for classification of large road vehicles intended to carry goods. Trucks with a maximum laden weight in excess of 7.5 tonnes are considered to be HGVs. A special driving license is needed for them.
