Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter (born May 26 1966; surname: Bonham Carter) is a British actress renowned for her portrayal of pre- and early 20th century female characters, particularly in Merchant Ivory films.
She was born in Golders Green, and educated at Westminster School. She is the great-granddaughter of Herbert Henry Asquith.
She has one son, Billy-Ray, born October 4 2003, fathered by Tim Burton who she met while filming Planet of the Apes. Carter has been engaged to Burton since 2001.
