Herbert Hall Turner
Herbert Hall Turner (August 13 1861 – August 20 1930) was a British astronomer and seismologist.
He won the Bruce Medal in 1927.
In seismology, he is credited with the discovery of deep-focus earthquakes .
He is credited with coining the word parsec.
