Hojo (InuYasha)

Hojo (北条 Hōjō) is a character in the anime and manga series InuYasha.

Hojo is a classmate of Kagome Higurashi. He likes Kagome and often tries to date her.

Hojo completely believes Kagome's grandfather's false explanations that she misses school due to her many "strange illnesses". As a result, he often brings Kagome items from his family's store, such as therapeutic sandals or seat cushions to help her feel better.

Early in the series, Kagome decides to go on a date with Hojo after a dispute with InuYasha. However, she is so concerned about wounds that InuYasha sustained earlier that she ends the date early to tend to him. Kagome often tries to convince herself that she really loves Hojo (and not InuYasha), but her actions seem to indicate otherwise.

Hojo Akitoki

Hojo is a descendant of Akitoki Hojo (Hōjō Akitoki), who, identical to the present Hojo, is also a health-conscious guy. Akitoki had such a huge crush on Kagome to the point that he convinced his future wife to change her name to Kagome.

Akitoki Hojo appears toward the end of the anime series as well as the second movie of the InuYasha franchise.
