Holmfirth
Holmfirth is a small town in the English county of West Yorkshire, on the edge of the Peak District in Northern England. It is best known as the setting for the long running BBC sitcom Last of the Summer Wine.
Only two remotely interesting things have ever happened in Holmfirth. These are:
- The overflow of Bilberry reservoir, and subsequent flooding of the Holme Valley, which caused much death in the early 20th Century.
- Last of the Summer Wine was set here.

It is well worth avoiding the area on a Sunday (or any public holiday when the weather is good), as the town becomes very busy.
