Hong Kong Heritage Museum is located by the Shing Mun River at 1 Man Lam Road, Sha Tin, Hong Kong.

History
The Museum was opened on December 16, 2000.
Features
The Museum has been designed to provide comprehensive exhibitions on history, art and culture. The Museum offers a diverse range of dynamic and interactive exhibitions and programmes to engage visitors in enjoyable and educational experiences as they appreciate the valuable artefacts on display. It also houses a cafe and museum shop.
There are six permanent exhibition galleries for the display of the museum's collections and six thematic galleries for temporary exhibitions. Permanent galleries include:
- New Territories Heritage Hall
- Children's Discovery Gallery
- Cantonese Opera Heritage Hall
- T.T.Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art, displaying artifacts from the former Tsui Museum of Art
Transportation
The museum is served by numerous bus lines. It is also reachable by KCR:
- East Rail: 15-minute walk from either Tai Wai or Sha Tin station
- Ma On Shan Rail: 5-minute walk across the river from Che Kung Temple station
