Hook Norton
Hook Norton is a village in north Oxfordshire, near the Warwickshire border, on the edge of The Cotswolds. It is between the market towns of Banbury and Chipping Norton, and has a population of about 2,000. Hook Norton is known locally as "Hooky". In the centre of the village is St Peters, a Norman church which features some rare wall paintings and a medieval font, as well as an early hand-pumped fire engine. Hook Norton once had a thriving ironstone quarry, but the railway which once took away the product has long gone; tall stone trestles which supported the track can be seen in the valley to the south of the village.
The Hook Norton Brewery is in the village.
