Horeki
Horeki (宝暦) was a Japense era after Kan'en and before Meiwa and spanned from 1751 to 1764. Reigning emperors were Momozono and Go-Sakuramachi.
Change of Era
Because of the deaths of the retired Emperor Sakuramachi and of the former Shōgun Tokugawa Yoshimune (徳川吉宗), the era was changed on the 27th day of the 10th month (old calendar) of Kan'en 4 (1751) to Hōreki (宝暦, "Valuable Calendar/Almanac"?)
