Hornsey railway station
Hornsey railway station is in the London Borough of Haringey in north London, and is in Travelcard Zone 3. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by WAGN.
The station should not be confused with Hornsea railway station, which is in Yorkshire.
Turnpike Lane tube station is a short distance away, although not recognised as an interchange on one ticket.
The service from the station runs to Moorgate on weekdays until about 8pm, and into London Kings Cross after 8pm Mondays to Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Normally the service uses class 313 EMUs, as these are the only units cleared to Moorgate, although on weekends sometimes class 317 EMUs are used instead.
The typical off-peak service is:
- 6tph (trains per hour) to Moorgate
- 3tph to Welwyn Garden City, via Potters Bar
- 3tph to Hertford North , with 1tph extended to Letchworth Garden City via Stevenage
