Howard Philips
Howard Philips was an early employee of Nintendo of America who was instrumental in the forming of Nintendo Power magazine, as well as being its first editor. His duties at Nintendo also included playing games and judging whether they were suitable for North American audiences. He appeared as a blond-haired bowtie-clad know-it-all in the "Howard & Nester" comics series, and created the Nester character. He is sometimes confused with Howard Lincoln, former chairman of Nintendo of America.
