Hrastnik
Hrastnik is a town and a municipality in Zasavje region, Slovenia. It is known mostly for coal mining (the deposit is located below Hrastnik and Trbovlje), and for the manufacture of glass. The nearest hills are called Kum (1220m), Mrzlica (1122m) and Kopitnik (910m). The area around Kopitnik is protected as a natural tourist attraction. Species like the capercaillie and chamois run wild in the surrounding forests. Local hunters keep the animals from outnumbering each other. The city has its own library and school. Addresses are regularly named after famous people from Hrastnik (Trg Franca Kozarja - Franc Kozar's market). In the past, most familys lived from working in the glass, coal or chemical industry. Today people still work in the glass and chemicals factory, but they can also go to work in neighbouring towns like Trbovlje or Zagorje.
