Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Nagrath Roshan is a Bollywood actor. Hrithik was born on January 10, 1974, in Mumbai, India, to actress Pinky and actor Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh later turned to film production and direction.
Hrithik's first movie role was in the 1980 movie Aasha , where he was an extra, a dancing boy. Later he worked behind the camera, supporting his director father. While he was working on the movie Karan Arjun, the film's lead, Salman Khan, urged Hrithik to try his hand at acting. It is said that Salman gave Hrithik lessons in body-building and acting.
Hrithik achieved fame overnight when he starred in Kaho Naa... Pyar Hai opposite debutante starlet Amisha Patel. The film was directed by his father. He was touted as the 'next big thing' and a possible competitor to mega-star Shah Rukh Khan. But his later movies have have been only intermittently successful. Most notable were Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham in 2001 and the 2003 Koi... Mil Gaya (which was directed by his father, Rakesh Roshan).
The actor is married to Suzanne Khan , his high-school sweetheart and daughter of actor Sanjay Khan . Hrithik is generally regarded as down-to-earth, hard-working actor, neither an egomaniac nor a playboy.
Like many other actors, Hrithik also tours in Bollywood stage shows. His first stage appearance was at Lux Zee Cine Awards in 2001.
He is currently working on a sequel to Koi... Mil Gaya; it is being directed by his father Rakesh Roshan and will be called Krrish [1] . Hrithik plays a superhero and is said to be doing rigorous martial arts training for the action sequences. The movie also stars Priyanka Chopra.
