Ibanag language

The Ibanag (also Ybanag) language is spoken by about 500,000 speakers in Isabela and Cagayan,especially in Tuguegarao, Solana, Cabagan, and Ilagan. Province in Northeast Luzon, Philippines. Most of the speakers can speak Ilocano, the lingua franca of Northern Luzon, as well. Ibanag is derived from bannag 'river' . It is closely related to Gaddang, Itawis, Agta, Atta, Yogad, Isneg and Malaweg.

Nakakak kami nakwan nu limibbe yayya. Kung dumating sana siya, nakakain sana kami.I (We) hope that by the time he would have arrived, we would have eaten.
Ari ka kuman. Huwag kang kumain.Don't eat.
