Bridge trilogy

(Redirected from Idoru)

William Gibson's Bridge trilogy is his second trilogy, after the successful Sprawl trilogy.

Books in this trilogy are:

  • Virtual Light (1993)
  • Idoru (1996)
  • All Tomorrow's Parties (1999)

The Bridge trilogy, like the Sprawl trilogy, takes place in a dystopian future, although the world presented there is less advanced. It is not clear if the books are intended to take place at an earlier time in the same universe, or in a separate universe.

The books deal with the race to control the beginnings of cyberspace technology, and unlike the Sprawl trilogy are set on the USA's West coast, in a post-earthquake California.
