Imperial landing craft
The Imperial landing craft is a troop transport used by the Empire to carry troops or supplies. It was shortly introduced before the Battle of Yavin and became the main troop transport. It can carry approximately 6 Stormtrooper squads or 54 Stormtroopers. Its weapons are 8 laser cannons, 2 concussion missiles launchers, 1 ion cannon and 2 repeating blasters. When converted to carry supplies, it can carry 36 speeder bikes or 12 compact assault vehicles like AT-STs and AT-PTs. Its total cargo capacity is 180 metric tonnes. It is similar to its cousin the Lambda-class shuttle because it features 3 wings . They were a central wing mounted on the top of the craft and two side mounted wings. It first appeared in A New Hope where it was shown taking off after deploying a party of Stormtroopers into the desert world Tatooine.
