Indigo Plateau

The Indigo Plateau is where the headquarters of the Pokemon League and the Indigo League of Kanto, are located, in northeast Kanto. The Victory Road, a cave which spans from Route 22 to Route 23 is located a the foot of the Plateau. At the Indigo Plateau, trainers face off with the Elite Four and the champion in the video games while in the anime, an annual match is held in the Indigo Stadium between trainers and the last trainer standing is crowned champion. The Pokemon Village, a "resort" of some kind, caters to the Pokemon trainers and other people who have come to watch the competition, is located at the center of the Plateau.
