Indology refers to study of India. It is the study of cultural aspects such as religions of India (Vedic, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, etc.), philosophies (nyaya, vaisheshika, meemamsa , vedanta, charvaka, etc.), art and architecture, spiritual and social aspects, etc.
In a word, indology is intellectual pursuit of the idea behind India.
