Ingram M. Stainback
Ingram M. Stainback, formally Ingram Macklin Stainback, was the ninth Territorial Governor of Hawai'i and served from 1942 to 1951. He was appointed to the office by President of the United States Franklin Roosevelt after the term of Joseph B. Poindexter. Stainback is most notable for his claim that Communists were plotting to take over the Hawaiian Islands. Previous to his administration, Stainback was a judge.
