Insurance Corporation of British Columbia
The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, or ICBC, is a provincial Crown corporation created in 1973. ICBC is responsible for administering automobile insurance policies and overseeing automobile and driver licensing in the province, including issuing licence plates to all automobiles registered in the province. ICBC also engages in the promotion of safe driving practices through its RoadSense programs.
