International Commission for Optics
The International Commission for Optics (ICO) was created in 1947 with the objective to contribute to the progress and dissemination of knowledge in optics.
It is an Affiliated Commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) and hence belong to the International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU).
Among the activities of ICO are congresses, meetings, schools, lectures, newsletter, book publishing, and awards — in optics and related disciplines.
