Interstate 295 (North Carolina)
Interstate 295 (Fayetteville Outer Loop) will be a loop around the west side of Fayetteville to relieve congestion through the city. It will be 40 miles (64.0km) long when completed. Its original designation, rejected by AASHTO, was I-195. Other designations used have been extensions of US 13 (in newspaper articles) and NC 24 (in the state TIP ), as well as NC 13 (on the NCDOT map). Its north end is at the south end of US 13 at I-95.
As of early 2005, the road has no route shields. The only mention of a number is on street signs at the ramps, which say "I-295" (with an additional "FUTURE" on some).
