Interstate 295 (Virginia)

The 52.56 mile (84.59km) long Interstate 295 in Virginia is an eastern bypass of Richmond and Petersburg as well as a northern bypass of Richmond. The southern terminus is a junction with Interstate 95 southeast of Petersburg. Interstate 295 has another junction with Interstate 95 north of Richmond and continues westward to its other terminus at a junction with Interstate 64.

The Varina-Enon Bridge carries Interstate 295 across the James River near Dutch Gap between Chesterfield County and Henrico County. It was opened to traffic in July 1990, and was the second major cable-stayed bridge in the United States.
