Isoko is an area in Nigeria most diversified in terms of ethnic groups and languages as the commonly spoken language (Isoko) varies within a distance of one kilometer. This was popularly celebrated in a song composed by one of the indigenes (Evi Edna Ogoli) when she sang "one kilometer is another language".

The Isokos are a friendly community living in the lower Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. The area has many mineral resources.

Major towns

Isoko is divided into two main Local Government Areas - Isoko South (with Local Government Headquarters in Oleh ) and Isoko North (with Local Government Headquarters in Ozoro ).There are also Isoko people in parts of Ndokwa East and West Local Government Areas of Delta State, as well as in parts of Rivers and Bayelsa States of Nigeria.
