James L. Farmer

James Leonard Farmer is the name of two prominent African-Americans, father and son. Both men were associated with Wiley College and Marshall, Texas. Usually the father, James L. Farmer, Sr., is confused with his more famous son, James Farmer, Jr.
- James L. Farmer, Sr.[1] — the first African-American Texan to earn a doctorate.
- James L. Farmer, Jr. — one of the Big Three leaders of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement.
