James Gambier, 1st Baron Gambier
Admiral John James Gambier (13 October 1756 New Providence, Bahamas – 19 April 1833 Iver,England)
Governor of Newfoundland 1802 - 1804
In 1807, he took part in the Battle of Copenhagen (1807).
In 1813 he was part of the team negotiating The Treaty of Ghent between the UK and US.
Became Lord Gambier of Iver 9 November 1807.
