James Stock
James Stock is a former candidate for political office in Ontario, Canada. He was the leader of the small Ontario Libertarian Party in the 1990 provincial election.
Stock campaigned in the southern Ontario riding of Halton Centre and received 624 votes, finishing sixth out of six candidates. The winner was Barbara Sullivan of the Ontario Liberal Party. It is unclear how extensive a role Stock played in the campaign.
He had previously been a candidate of the Libertarian Party of Canada in the 1988 federal election, running in the riding of Oakville—Milton . He received 346 votes, finishing fifth out of five candidates.
He has not sought provincial or federal office since 1990.
There is now a James Stock Auctions in Stratford, Ontario, possibly run by the same person.
