James Worson Incident
James Worson, an 1873 shoemaker who lived in Leamington Spa in England, made a bet with some of his friends that he could run non-stop from Leamington Spa to Coventry, approximately 25 kilometers. He started to run, and his friends followed him with their horse-wagons so that James wouldn't cheat. After a few minutes, according to his friends, Worson started to become transparent, and after a short time, disappeared completely.
He was never seen again.
