Jamshetji Tata

Jamshedji Tata (1839-1904) was a pioneer in the field of modern industry. He is known as the father of Indian Industry.
He was the founder of the Tata Iron and Steel company, the first establishment of what was to become a large empire now known as the Tata Group. Jamshedji Tata was a Zoroastrian of Parsee (Persian) descent.

The Indian city of Jamshedpur, famous for its steel, is named after the great visionary.
