Jamshid bin Abdullah of Zanzibar

Jamshid bin Abdullah Al-Said (born September 16, 1929 in Zanzibar) was the last Sultan of Zanzibar. He ruled Zanzibar from July 1, 1963 to January 12, 1964. On December 19, 1963, Zanzibar received its independence from the United Kingdom as a constitutional monarchy under Jamshid. This state of affairs was short-lived, and in January 1964, he was overthrown. He went to exile to Great Britain.
Jamshid has been married twice, and has seven children:

- Prince Sayyid Abdullah bin Jamshid Al-Said

- Princess Sayyida Adla bint Jamshid Al-Said
- Prince Sayyid Gharib bin Jamshid Al-Said
