Jason Everman

Jason Everman (b. 1964) was a guitarist for Nirvana in 1989, and then later became a guitarist for Soundgarden.

Everman joined Nirvana in 1989, and is credited as being the second guitarist on the Nirvana album Bleach, but did not actually play on any of the songs. The credit was admitted by Kurt Cobain to be as a token of thanks for paying for the recording of the album. He did however play shows from February through July but should not be considered a member of the band.

As of 2004, both songs from a two-song Nirvana session featuring Everman have been officially released. "Do You Love Me?" (a KISS cover released on a tribute album) and "Dive" (released on Nirvana's With the Lights Out box set) were recorded at The Evergreen State College's 24-track studio in June of 1989.

He left Nirvana, and joined Soundgarden as a bassist in 1990. In April, he played on "Come Together" with the band, a Beatles cover released on a single. He also appears in Soundgarden's Louder Than Live home video. He quickly left the band in the same year, and has played guitar for a few other bands.

He is now reportedly in the U.S. military.
