Jaya Bachchan
Jaya Bachchan (born April 9, 1948), is an Indian film actress, married to the film star Amitabh Bachchan since 1973. She appeared under her birthname, Jaya Bhaduri, for most of her career, but in recent films she has taken to using her married name. They also starred in many films together, as Abhimaan, Zanjeer and lately Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and have two children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta together. She stars rarely in movies these days, and does also some stage-shows.
She recently became active in politics with the Samaj Wadi party.
A number of movies that both of them have acted together supposedly reflect their real life stories. In Abhimaan, Amitabh potrays a jealous husband of a more succeful artist. In Silsila, Amitabh has an extra marital affair while being married to Jaya.
