Jazira

Jazira (جزيرة) means island or peninsula in Arabic, and may refer to:
- Al Jazira — the riparian plain of Mesopotamia, which encompasses northeastern Syria and northwestern Iraq.
- Al Jazirah — a state of east-central Sudan.
- Gezira — is an island on the river Nile in central Cairo, best known for its up-market residential district Zamalek.
- Algiers — the capital city of Algeria.
- Algeciras — a city in Cádiz, southern Spain, near Gibraltar.
- Al Jazeera — a major Arabic television channel, based in Qatar.
- Aljazeera.com — a London-based publication.
- Al-Jazeerah Information Center — an independent U.S. publication which comments on issues of Middle Eastern and world politics.
