The Jean Genie (or simply Jean Genie) is a song by David Bowie inspired by the lives of Jean Genet and Iggy Pop. It was released as a single in November 1972 and in the album Aladdin Sane in April 1973. Also, it's one of the first songs on having a video clip, directed and produced by Mick Rock .
