Jetfire

Jetfire is one of the Autobots from the Transformers series, he is also called Skyfire.

  • Called Skyfire in the cartoon.

On Cybertron before the war, Jetfire was scientist who went to check out an uncharted planet (Earth) with his friend Starscream. Upon arrival, found no signs of intelligent life on the planet, though Jetfire insisted on taking a closer look. They were over the arctic area when a strong gust of wind picked up Skyfire and made him crash into a mountian. Starscream was unable to find him...

On present-day Earth, the Decepticons uncovered Jetfire while draining heat energy from the Earth's core. The Decepticons managed to reactivate Jetfire and bring him into Decepticon ranks, as a guard. When the Autobots arrived, Jetfire attacked. But during the fight, he saved Sparkplug and Spike when thet became stranded on an ice float, took the two to Megatron under the impression he would not harm them. But Megatron took them as prisoners, and Jetfire started to question his allegiance.

The soon made up his mind when Starscream ordered him to kill the Autobot search party. Jetfire's choice ending up with him injured by his former friend as Ratchet did his best to repair the wounded transformer. Once healed he soon interfered in the fight between Megatron and Optimus Prime, taking Megatron out. After a heated dog fight with Starscream, Jetfire perform a kamikaze to destroy the core-draining. But Jetfire surived, found by Sideswipe and Wheeljack when the Autobots needed his help. Jetfire soon became a member of the team afterwards, providing help in countinatal transport and heavy battles.

Armada & Energon/Micron Legends and Superlink

  • Called SkyFire in Superlink.

Jetfire serves as Optimus Prime's 2nd in command. His cheerful disposition belies a cool, composed judgment that has saved his team from numerous predicaments. He could power-link with Optimus to give his friend more power.

Ten years later, Jetfire got a upgrade in his design and could power-link with anyone else, usually Ironhide. During the final battle with Unicron, Jetfire was evolved into a supered form by Primus.

He was voiced by Scott McNeil(US), Susumu Chiba (Micron Legends), & Nobuyuki Hiyama (Superlink).

Cybertron/Galaxy Force

  • Called Dreadlock in Japan.

He is the sincere vice-commander who is very reliable. He is also a realist who clearly can advocate objections from a clear point of view to make difficult judgments & simultaneously manages the given command exactly when iti is given. When they arrived on Earth, Jetfire was the one who proposed scanning vehicle modes so the Autobots would not attract attention from Earth's governments. Overtime, Jetfire was modified to Sonic Bomber, who can powerlink unto Optimus to give him power.

He is voiced by Hideo Ishikawa.
