Jimmy Barnes
Jimmy Barnes (born April 28 1956 as James Dixon Swan) is a popular rock/soul singer, born in Scotland, but long-time resident in Australia.
He first came to attention as the lead-singer with popular Australian Pub Rock band, Cold Chisel. Since the breakup of Cold Chisel, Barnes has had a successful solo career, with several number one albums and top ten singles.
Barnes is both loved and hated for his unique vocal style. His detractors often say that instead of singing he just screams, while he fans point to some of his Cold Chisel work which shows a greater range.
