Joanne Gobure
Joanne Ekamdeiya Gobure (b. April 26, 1982, in Denigomodu) is a Nauruan poet. She is the cousin of Nauruan tennis player Chris Gobure .
Gobure was born in Denigomodu, but is grown up in Uaboe. She visits the schools of Nibok, Aiwo and Yaren. She is currently employed at Nauru College in Aiwo.
Gobure's poems are barely known outside of Nauru. Just one poem called A Beautiful Prayer is more or less known, particularly because it had been running through several internet forums and christian websites.
