Joe Kennedy

Joseph Darley Kennedy (born May 24 1979, in La Mesa, California) is an American baseball player. He is a left-handed pitcher, currently playing for the Colorado Rockies. He graduated from high school in El Cajon, California, and attended Grossmont Junior College , making his MLB debut on May 6 2001 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
He played for the Orlando Tornados beginning in 1999, and ascended to the Durham Bulls on May 9 2001, while at the same time playing for the Devil Rays. In 2002, he was named a starting pitcher, and would pitch 72 consecutive starts, before being relegated to the bullpen with an injury in 2003. He was traded to the Colorado Rockies during the 2003 offseason/ In the 2004 season, he was the first Rockies pitcher to have a sub 4.00 ERA, setting a franchise record with a 3.66.
He is married and lives in Denver, Colorado.
