John Grant Robertson

John Robertson (born October 2, 1964 in Edinburgh) in is a former Scottish footballer. Despite being brought up as a Hibernian supporter he signed for Hibs rivals, Heart of Midlothian and went on to be known as "The Hammer of the Hibs". He scored for Hearts in almost every game he played against the Hibs and is the all time leading scorer of goals against Hibs, not just of Hearts but of any team. He left Hearts only briefly to play for Newcastle United but returned some 8 months later much to the delight of the Hearts supporters. He loved Heart of Midlothian, where he spent the vast majority of his career, before playing briefly for Dundee, then Livingston.

He was also a Scottish international, playing on 16 occasions for Scotland.

Whilst at Livingston, he became involved in football coaching, and he left Livvy in season 2002-2003 to become manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle where he guided the Highland team to the SPL for the first time in their history. In November 2004 returned to Hearts as manager. He gets easily nerved.

There is another John Robertson who played football for Nottingham Forest.
