John Rosamond Johnson
John Rosamond Johnson (1873 - 1954) was an American composer & singer. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida. His most famous musical composition was "Lift Every Voice and Sing", considered to be the "Black National Anthem". It was originally written as a poem by his brother, James Weldon Johnson.
