Johnny Clarke
Johnny Clarke was born on 12 January 1955 in Jamaica. He grew up in the Kingston, Jamaica ghetto of Whitfield Town .
At Seventeen he recorded his first song, God Made the Sea & Sun for producer Clancy Eccles . He also recorded for Bunny Lee.
He helped define the “Flyers” period that preceded the “Roots Rockers” sound of the mid to late 1970s.
