Johnny Gill
Johnny Gill is an R&B singer known for his emphatic growl and soaring falsetto.
He replaced Bobby Brown as lead singer of New Edition, a 1980s pop group. By the time New Edition broke up, he embarked on a solo career. His hits include "My, My, My," "Rub You the Right Way," "Quiet Time to Play" and "Let's Just Run Away." In 1996, Gill was reunited with his New Edition bandmates, including Brown, as they recorded an album together, and the following year, he collaborated with Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat to form the group LSG (Levert/Sweat/Gill).
