Jonathan Bush

Jonathan Bush born (1931) is an uncle of George W. Bush and brother of George H. W. Bush.

He founded J. Bush & Co. which was provided discrete banking services for the Washington D.C. embassies of foreign governments for many years.

Riggs Bank bought J. Bush & Co. in 1997. Bush is now CEO & President, Riggs Investment , New Haven, Connecticut.

The Washington Post, published on Saturday, May 20, 2004, page E02, -- http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A28396-2004May14.html -- had an item about Jonathan Bush which states: "President Bush's uncle, Jonathan J. Bush, is a top executive at Riggs Bank, which this week agreed to pay a record $25 million in civil fines for violations of law intended to thwart money laundering." The accounts in question were Saudi.

"Riggs Bank was also the bank that Princess Haifa [of Saudi Arabia] used to send money to San Diego that ended up in the hands of two of the [9/11]hijackers." http://www.911citizenswatch.org/print.php?sid=81

Jonathan Bush also helped organized investors for George W. Bush's first oil venture Arbusto in the early 1980s. That company had a brother of Osama Bin Laden as an investor.
